Origins of Mercy (2022)

Choreographed by Lara Ganz

Origins of Mercy grew out of a disillusionment, worry, concern – a sadness about what is going on in the world and how we treat each other as human beings. It is about trying to navigate those feelings, expressing the beauty of kindness and understanding through dance, an art form without the distraction of words which can be misconstrued. Origins of Mercy is hopeful. It underscores that young people can lift each other up simply by accepting one another. It shows that in (re)building communities and in reaching for each other when we are lost – we can rise.

The Maidens, the Trees, and the Rose Garden (2022)

Choreographed by Susan Zichittella with Lara Ganz

This original ballet tells the story of three maidens, a stand of ancient Sycamore trees, and magical rose garden that lures passersby. Anyone who gets too close is pricked and metamorphosized into a Rose, which once fully tuned is captured forever.

Tread (2020)

Choreographed by Alessandra Ganz

Born out of rising concerns of the climate crisis and a need to reconnect to sustainable sources, the surrealistic dance work “Tread” tells the story of a self-sustainable community, isolated from the modern world, that sees and tends to their slice of earth as an equal organism.

Summoning Hope (2019)

Choreographed by Lara Ganz

Summoning Hope is about exploring ideas of dwindling hope and resilience with the support of communal care. It is about the sensation of being drawn to the ground with a loss of hope and the fundamental importance of trying to remember the lightness of being happy. Of sunshine and of loving those around us. The ability to accept having our loved ones help us up.
