Lara Ganz (Owner/Director) has studied dance for over twenty years and has been teaching for over twelve years. She has studied with some of the most important figures in the United States. She has studied many diverse techniques, such as ballet, jazz, flamenco, and various styles of modern dance including the techniques of Alvin Ailey, Martha Graham, and José Limón.
Lara studied at Ballet Concerto, North Carolina School of the Arts, and Bard College. She also completed a summer intensive program with the Jose Limon Dance Company, for which she received a full scholarship.
As an attorney in Rhinebeck, Lara was inspired by her childrens’ yoga class to open Dream Studio, LLC. Through this she hopes to teach the art and love of dance to children and adults alike.
Lara teaches Ballet, Pointe, Modern and is the principal choreographer for Veritas Dance Company.
Susan Zichitella has taught dance for over 25 years including ballet, pointe, lyrical, contemporary, tap, and jazz. She maintains current with the ever changing dance styles and technique through constant extensive research, and she incorporates diverse global influences into her teachings.Susan believes students should have fun while being challenged to grow in a disciplined environment. She cannot imagine ever not teaching students dance. While dancing was fun for her, teaching is her passion.
Susan teaches Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Company Ballet, Variations, and choreographs for the Veritas Company.
Lindsey Van Etten started dancing at the age of 3 and never looked back. Lindsey has dance background in multiple genres including: ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, lyrical/ contemporary, hip hop, and modern. Her concentration in the later years of her career was in Hip Hop, where she studied with Energy Dance Group of Kingston for a few years. She has taken several intensive workshops from various professionals in the field of dance including: the Debbie Allen Dance Academy in LA, Broadway Dance Center in NYC, the late Gregory Hines and Savion Glover. She is a firm believer in the importance of teaching children the options of a healthy lifestyle by using dance as a form of expression. Lindsey strives to always bring the newest music and dance styles to the classroom.

Miriam Mahdaviani danced for the New York City Ballet after being selected by George Balanchine to join his company. During her dancing career, she performed in over 40 Balanchine ballets, and worked with other notable choreographers including Jerome Robbins, Lar Lubovitch, Twyla Tharp, Jacques d’Amboise, and Peter Martins. She has performed overseas as a featured guest artist at the Kremlin in Moscow and in cities throughout Italy. She has also danced as a guest Principal dancer in regional productions of The Nutcracker. On screen, she has appeared in the Dance in America series on PBS, and in NYCB’s movie of Balanchine’s The Nutcracker. Ms. Mahdaviani has choreographed over 20 ballets for dance companies and colleges across the country, and her work has been seen internationally at dance festivals in Florence, Italy and Edinburgh, Scotland. Additionally, Ms. Mahdaviani has staged Balanchine ballets for the Israel Ballet in Tel Aviv. Since 2001, Ms. Mahdaviani has been a visiting professor of dance and choreographer at Vassar College, teaching ballet technique and pointe classes at the beginner through advanced levels.

Leslie I P Sachs – Born and raised on Manhattan’s upper west side, now a resident of New Paltz, NY, Leslie has spent the majority of her life as a dance artist, teacher, performer and choreographer in New York City.
Leslie’s training and performance began with New York City Ballet and American Ballet Theater. With her foundations in classical movement she entered the contemporary dance world through study of a wide variety of modern dance techniques; Cunningham, Horton, Graham, Lewitzky, etc. She is an alumna of the High School of Performing Arts, Bard College and the University of Washington, the latter from where she received her MFA in dance.
Leslie has held positions at Purchase College Conservatory for Dance, Balettakademien in Stockholm, University of Massachusetts, New York University, Neuchåtel Switzerland summer festivals, Dance Space Center & Dance New Amsterdam in NYC, to name a few. Her work has been presented in venues across the US and in Europe.

Erika Hobson has been dancing for 27 years , and teaching for 7 years. She is a former student of Lara’s, beginning at age 11. After completing numerous summer dance programs and attending Ithaca College, where she had the opportunity to take ballet and modern classes, perform in the dance company, and be a part of the dance team, she returned to Dream Studio as a teacher of ballet, contemporary ballet, and jazz. Erica is also a Speech-Language Pathologist working with preschoolers.

Lisa Brown started dancing at the age of 5 in Staten Island in a community art showcase coordinated by her father, Dancer/Choreographer, Bryant “Drew” Andrews,and has been nourishing her love of dance ever since.
Lisa joined her father in an endeavor to start “Unique Fitness”, a dance studio launched in 2002 geared to attract young performers of the Kingston community in which she was raised. In 2003 Lisa and her father created the award winning Energy Dance Company in which Lisa is a primary dancer and key instructor. Energy has gone on to win numerous awards in national competitions, perform repeatedly at the Apollo in NYC and on BET as well as tour internationally, performing twice in Germany’s Youth Music Festival. In addition Lisa has studied at Broadway Dance Center in NYC and Debbie Allen’s Dance Academy in California.
Lisa has impressed others with her dynamic dance skills, fun and fresh choreography and passionate work with children of all ages. She is an avid believer in good mental and physical health, is loved and respected by her students and their parents and is determined to continue serving as a positive role model for youth and the community.
Lisa teaches Hip Hop, including Boy’s only Hip Hop.
Erin Burton, a native of Miami, Florida, has danced with Ballet Theatre of Pennsylvania, The Bravo Ballet, and The Eglevsky Ballet. She has also toured all over the country with The National tour of The Phantom of The Opera as well as The Broadway show for 12 years. Trained as a full Scholaship Trainee at The Joffrey Ballet School in New York, she is now teaching ballet to kids and adults all over the NY/NJ area.

Aubrey Flick has a BFA in Musical Theater from SUNY Fredonia. She has been performing since she was a tiny tot. While living in NYC, Aubrey began taking silks classes for fitness and fell in love. She has trained with multiple circus artists in the Tri State area. She has performed in NYC and Coney Island, upstate New York, and Connecticut. She loves teaching the arts to anyone and everyone!

Summer Lown has been dancing since she was 3 years old, starting out at the Rhinebeck Dance Center. She is now turning 18 in November, and preparing to graduate from high school in June 2019. She has been tap dancing her whole life, and loves it more than any other genre. She’s also studied Jazz, Lyrical, Ballet, Modern, and Hip Hop. When she was 8 she joined a tap group at her old studio called “The Metronomes”. A year later they went to NYC and performed on Symphony Space, on Broadway. Performing in front of so many people was the best experience of her life! Summer joined Dream Studio at the age of 13 and immediately felt the love everyone had, and she was quickly welcomed in to the “family”. She couldn’t be more excited to be teaching, dancing, and doing what she loves to do!

Sherri Lewis has been dancing for over 40 years, and has attended classes in tap, jazz, lyrical, pointe, hip hop, and tumbling. She has choreographed numerous musical theater productions over the years, and is thrilled to be joining the staff at Dream Studio. She is a firm believer that dance should be challenging and fun, and she hopes to pass along her love of a tap to her students. When she’s not dancing, Sherri is an IT specialist with a B.S. in Computer Science.
Sherri teaches Tap B, C, D, and Adult Tap.
